| Fassier-Duval
Telescopic IM System™: |
Product Description
The Fassier-Duval Telescopic Intramedullary System is
a new rod designed for patients suffering from Osteogenesis
Imperfecta (OI), skeletal displasia and other bone deformities.
Created to prevent or stabilize fractures, or correct
deformity of the long bones whilst growth occurs. It is
indicated for children 18 months and older suffering from
OI, pseudoarthrosis and can also be used concomitantly
with external fixators in older children or adults with
limb length discrepancy. The Fassier-Duval rod has been
designed for the femur, tibia and humerus.
Intended use
This implant is indicated as a temporary implant to aid
in the healing of long diaphysis fractures, osteotomies,
malunions and nonunions and to prevent further fractures
in femur, tibia and humerus in pediatric, small statured
or patients with limb length discrepancy. It can be used
in procedures such as bone lengthening/shortening concomitantly
with external fixators.
Product approval
The Fassier-Duval system has Health Canada, FDA and CE
mark approval as well as approval in many other countries.

| Dr
Paley's Osteotomy System™: |
Product
Description
Dr. Paley’s Osteotomy system is a set of surgical
instruments especially selected and optimized by Dr. Dror
Paley (Baltimore, USA) to avail other orthopaedic surgeons
of all the necessary instrumentation during deformity
correction procedures. Based on Dr. Paley’s own
“ideal set” used regularly in the OR and manufactured
by demand of LLD specialists, the set concentrates all
the small details that makes surgery that much simpler.
The Focal Dome Beam Compass
is based on the CORA method and utilizes a continuously
variable radius that gives you the option to select a
precise radius from the CORA point and prepare your focal
dome osteotomy. The Focal Dome Beam Compass and Drill
Guide allow you attain accurate placement and alignment
of the contiguous drill holes in a polar array of excellent
precision. The complementary use of German-made osteotomes
or Gigli saw assures the safe creation of the osteotomy
dome with minimal bone loss.

| The Hinge Pediatric Plating System: |
Product Description
The Hinge Pediatric Plating System is the newest addition to Pega Medical’s pediatric devices designed to correct deformities in growing children. This innovative plate is intended to fix pediatric mal-alignment through a less-invasive, gentle correction. The rationale behind the design of the Hinge Plate is to achieve the ideal placement of a true hinge at the growth plate, which allows for a guided manipulation of the deformity with less risk of implant failure. Unrestrained angular correction around the hinge diminishes structural stresses on the device.
Intended use
The Hinge Pediatric Plating System is an articulated plate used to guide growth and deformity correction. Indicated in children and adolescents with deformities such as genu varum and genu valgum. it includes one plate and two screws. By fixing the plate on either side of the physeal plate, axial growth can be controlled and angular deformity corrected.

| GAP Nail, the endo-exo medullary system: |
Product Description
The Gap endo-exo medullary system is used for the treatment of fractures or correction of deformities in the femur, tibia and humerus of pediatric patients who have reached skeletal maturity or short statured adults.
This fixation device consists of an intramedullary nail linked to a plate via lag and mechanical screws creating a combined Endomedullary / E xomedullary osteosythesis device. This novel approach of osteosynthesis creates a load sharing system between the nail and plate thus limiting the risk of stress fractures and improving the implant stability in weak bones.
Intended use
• Diaphyseal facture of the femur, tibia and humerus
• Fractures of the femoral neck, subtrochanteric, intertrochanteric and combination fractures
• Correction of deformities (OI, skeletal dysplasia, Coxa vara, Coxa valga)
• Nonunions and malunions
